The festival of Cultures will be held from the 21st March till the 23th March 2014 in the square, Palmerston North.
See the world on your backdoor step at Festival of Cultures 2014! You don’t have to travel far to experience cultures from all corners of the earth on Saturday, 22 March 2014 at the World Food, Craft and Music Fair in the Square, Palmerston North.
Each year even more of our local ethnic communities add to the colour and vibrancy of the Festival of Cultures, and this year will be no exception.
The day is a vibrant display of culture, colour, music, food and dance. There will be a variety of local performances from Thailand, Cambodia, Ireland, China, Russia, Indian, Pacific Islands, Latin America and Japan to name a few.
There will be food stalls, fascinating performances and information available about various countries on the day, which means families can experience many of the world’s traditions right here in the heart of the Manawatu!
Food has always been a highlight of the festival with many community groups serving up their traditional dishes, or ‘specialties’ at the world food, craft and music fair. So expect to be tempted by a wide range of delicacies from all over the world!
